DRAFT WEEK IS HERE!!!! The 2025 NFL Draft will kick off on Thursday, and it may be the most important draft in the history of the Tennessee Titans.
With the draft on the horizon, let’s go over FIVE MOVES the Titans should make this week to set themselves up for success now and in the future.

1. Select QB Cam Ward with the No.1 overall pick
This is already basically set in stone. Ward dazzled during his lone season at Miami in 2024 and showcased his electric dual-threat ability. Is he a perfect prospect? NO. But Ward has the potential to develop into the Titans franchise quarterback and will ignite some much-needed excitement in the organization after three straight losing seasons.

2. Acquire a Third-Round pick
This is a move the Titans should make on Day 2. Tennessee needs as much draft capital as possible, and trading back from 35 to get a third-round pick would be ideal.
However, it does take two to tango, so we’ll see if the Titans can find a trade partner who is willing to give up their third-round pick to move up to the No.35 overall pick.

3. Trade QB Will Levis
With Cam Ward set to enter the building, it’s time to move on from Levis. Though he could be a solid backup, I feel like both the Titans and Levis need a change of scenery, so both sides should look to get something done and move the former Kentucky standout out of Nashville to a favorable situation.
The New Orleans Saints seem like the perfect landing spot for Levis. The team doesn’t know whether Derek Carr will be ready for the season, and it would be wise for them to bring in a quarterback with some starting experience, even if they plan on selecting a signal-caller in the draft.
Levis struggled last year, but maybe a fresh start in New Orleans could unlock his potential.

4. Sign Free Agent WR Tyler Lockett
If the Titans want to give Cam Ward a chance to flourish in Brian Callahan’s offense, they should look to sign Lockett. The veteran receiver would be a fantastic security blanket for Ward and a nice mentor for the young receivers on Tennessee’s roster.
Lockett is coming off a down year in 2024 but will be cheap to sign and could still provide solid production playing alongside Calvin Ridley. Click here for more insight on why the Titans should sign Lockett.

5. Sign Free Agent OT George Fant
The Titans addressed their need for an offensive tackle by signing Dan Moore Jr., who will play left tackle, while JC Latham moves back to his college position, right tackle. However, with the release of Nicholas Petit-Frere, Tennessee needs some depth at the position.
The Titans brought Fant in for a visit a few weeks ago, and signing him feels like a no-brainer. He won’t demand a lucrative deal and has started 75 games in his eight-year career. Fant would provide valuable depth behind Latham at right tackle and would be serviceable if he had to start.
