3 QBs Titans should target in Free Agency, plus other options!
The Tennessee Titans will be actively looking for a quarterback (or quarterbacks) this offseason, as the team got abysmal play from Will Levis and Mason Rudolph in 2024 and must start fresh at the position.
The Titans could select a signal-caller with the No.1 overall pick in April's draft but could also look to trade back and draft an impact player at a different position. Either way, President of Football Operations Chad Brinker and general manager Mike Borgonzi should look to sign a quarterback in free agency. Here are three potential options.

Jameis Winston
Winston is the funniest player in the NFL and would bring a ton of joy to Nashville. But on a serious note, the 2015 No.1 overall pick would be a solid veteran backup for the Titans.
The 31-year-old appeared in 12 games for Cleveland in 2024, tossing 13 touchdowns to 12 interceptions with a 61.1% completion rate. Though he did post a 2-5 record, Winston kept the Browns competitive and had some signature moments.
Winston won't cost too much to sign (Spotrac projection: 1-year, $6 million) and would serve as a high-end backup for Tennessee who could also start a few games if needed. The 2015 Heisman Trophy said he would "love" to join the Titans during an interview with "The Sick Podcast - Talking Titans."

Jacoby Brissett
Brissett isn't flashy, but he has started 53 games in his career and does a nice job taking care of the football. Like Winston, the Titans won't have to break the bank to sign him (Spotrac projection: 1-year, $3.1 million), and Brissett would bring championship experience to Tennessee's quarterback room.

Joe Flacco
Flacco has turned into a reliable backup later in his career, as the 40-year-old started six games for the Colts in 2024 and tallied 12 touchdowns to seven interceptions.
The 2023 AP Comeback Player of the Year would be a fantastic backup and, most importantly, mentor for the Titans potential rookie quarterback. He will also be cheap to sign (Spotrac projection: 1-year, $3.2 million).

AVOID SAM DARNOLD
Darnold will be a popular name among Titans fans and media. The 2018 No.3 overall pick had a career resurgence with the Vikings this season and is one of the top players on the free agency market.
Though Darnold would be an immediate upgrade over Levis and Rudolph, the 27-year-old is a product of Kevin O'Connell's quarterback-friendly system and has a terrific supporting cast in Minnesota centered around wide receivers Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison.
Many don't want the Titans to draft a quarterback with the No.1 overall pick, but paying Sam Darnold $40 million per year would be ten times worse.

The Aaron Rodgers Debate
Rodgers won't be back in New York next season and will likely be designated as a post-June 1st cut, meaning he can sign elsewhere once free agency begins on March 12th. The Titans will be thrown into the conversation for the future Hall of Famer, and though Rodgers could have some good play left in him, he's 40 years old and his best days are past him.
However, I will entertain Rodgers to the Titans if he doesn't demand an outrageous contract and is willing to mentor Tennessee's potential rookie quarterback.

Derek Carr will be the Titans Starting QB in 2025
I will tell you this: Carr is the favorite to be the Titans starting quarterback next season (I DON'T HAVE SOURCES, JUST A PREDICTION). He has worked with Brian Callahan in the past, put together some excellent games in 2024, and shouldn’t be too expensive to sign after an injury-riddled season.
The 33-year-old has stated that he doesn’t plan on taking a pay cut this offseason, which could lead to him being released by the Saints.
Selecting a quarterback with No.1 is the CORRECT MOVE, but unless the Titans completely fall in love with Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders, get ready for Derek Carr.
