The Titans should target this Free Agent from a division Rival!

The Tennessee Titans could be in the market for a new starting right guard this offseason, as Dillon Radunz is set to hit free agency and could look for a fresh start on a new team.

If Radunz leaves Nashville in March, the Titans will be without a starting-caliber player at right guard. President of Football Operations Chad Brinker and General Manager Mike Borgonzi could look to address the need in the draft, but there is one player on a division rival who would be a solid replacement for Radunz.

Titans should target Colts RG Will Fries

Fries was on his way to a Pro Bowl-caliber season in 2024 before suffering a season-ending tibia injury during Indianapolis’ Week 5 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 26-year-old allowed two sacks and six quarterback pressures in 153 pass-blocking snaps last season with an 84.9 run-blocking grade.

Though Fries 2024 campaign was cut short, the former Penn State standout started all 17 games in 2023 and played over 1,100 snaps while allowing four sacks and 30 quarterback pressures. Fries went through some growing pains to begin his career but is an ascending player who has taken major leaps over the last two years.

Fries is just 26 years old and has been a solid starter when on the field. So, he will likely demand a sizable contract on the open market. The Titans are projected to have around $44 million in cap space this offseason, which is plenty of money to sign the young guard and address other needs on the roster.

Will Fries Contract Projections

  • SPOTRAC: 4-years, $56.5 million ($14.1 Million AAV)

  • PFF: 4-years, $57.25 million with $30 million guaranteed ($14.3 million AAV)

Overall, the Titans have a ton of holes to patch this offseason, one being the right side of the offensive line. Though Will Fries is coming off a significant injury, the 2021 seventh-round pick is only getting better and could be a cornerstone player for Tennessee. Brinker and Borgonzi should look to add the Indianapolis Colts right guard in free agency to replace Dillon Radunz.
