The Titans should target THIS FREE AGENT OFFENSIVE LINEMAN!
The Tennessee Titans are coming off an abysmal 2024 season, as the team posted a 3-14 record and landed the No.1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Titans also fired general manager Ran Carthon and replaced him with Mike Borgonzi, who spent 15 years with the Kansas City Chiefs and was an integral part of the franchise’s dynasty, serving as assistant general manager from 2021-2024.
Borgonzi and President of Football Operations Chad Brinker will look to bolster a Titans roster that underwhelmed in 2024, and the first step towards this goal will come during free agency in March.
Tennessee was one of the most active teams in the league in free agency last offseason, but I don’t expect that to be the case this offseason. The Titans are projected to have $44 million in cap space, but with the franchise holding the No.1 pick and needing to rebuild, building through the draft would be wise.
Though Tennessee may not be major spenders this offseason, there are a few players on the market I would like to see the Titans pursue, especially Detroit Lions guard Kevin Zeitler.
Zeitler started 16 games for the Lions in 2024 and was one of the best interior offensive linemen in football. The veteran did allow five sacks but surrendered just 18 quarterback pressures and posted an 87.2 run-blocking grade, which ranked third among guards in the NFL.
If the Titans lose starting right guard Dillon Radunz this offseason, who is scheduled to hit free agency, Zeitler would be an adequate replacement for Radunz. Though he will be 35 years old when free agency starts, the former first-round pick has been a solid starting-level player at right guard for over a decade and won’t cost too much to sign.

Due to his age, many don’t expect Zeitler to land a lucrative deal in free agency, which is perfect for the Titans. The former Baltimore Raven would be a cheap replacement for Radunz if Tennessee lets the Jon Robinson draft selection walk, and Zeitler would also serve as a nice veteran presence on a rebuilding squad. Signing the veteran guard in 2025 free agency would be an excellent move by Brinker and Borgonzi, but there could be one obstacle in the way.
Zeitler may want to finish his career on a contender and compete for a Super Bowl. If that’s the case, Tennessee could be out of the running for the former Pro Bowl. There’s also a chance he opts to re-sign with the Lions. But if Zeitler is interested in coming to Nashville, the Titans should strike a deal with the reliable and battle-tested guard.
