Four Players the Titans should target in the 2nd Round of the 2025 NFL Draft

The NFL Draft is rapidly approaching, as we are a little over three weeks away from the start of Round 1 on Thursday, April 24th.
The Titans’ choice at No.1 overall seems to be nearly set, as many expect the team to select their quarterback of the future in Cam Ward. However, Tennessee also has another valuable pick in Round 2 at No.35, and here are four players I would like to see the Titans select in the second round!

Luther Burden III, WR Missouri
Burden falling to pick 35 would be a dream for the Titans, as the St.Louis native is a dynamic playmaker who could develop into Cam Ward’s No.1 wide receiver. His versatility to play on the outside and in the slot, as well as his ability to create yards after the catch would be excellent additions to Brian Callahan’s offense.
Many analysts project Burden as a first-round pick, but he did have an underwhelming 2024 campaign at Mizzou and according to Draft analyst Todd McShay, he has been labeled as a diva.
“There's a lot of Diva. And the biggest thing, you know what I talk to when I talk to NFL teams? He just flat out quit in that Alabama game. I'm sure I'll have people calling and SIDs and everything else, but go watch it for yourself,” McShay said about Burden.
If Burden somehow falls out of the first-round and is available when the Titans are on the clock at 35 in Round 2, there should be zero hesitation from general manager Mike Borgonzi.

Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE Boston College
Despite signing Dre'Mont Jones and Lorenzo Carter, the Titans have a pressing need at edge rusher. Ezeiruaku had a monster senior campaign in 2024, totaling 16.5 sacks and 60 quarterback pressures with 42 defensive stops. The 21-year-old has a diverse pass-rushing skillset and is also a plus-run defender.
Ezeiruaku would immediately step in as a starter on the Titans’ defensive line, and the last time Tennessee drafted an edge rusher from Boston College in the second round, it went pretty well.

Josaiah Stewart, EDGE Michigan
Stewart is undersized, but he makes up for it with his relentless motor and ability to win reps in multiple ways. His tape against USC in 2024 showed how he can win with speed and power, and he’s one of my favorite prospects in this year’s class.
The Bronx native posted 8.5 sacks and 37 quarterback pressures with a 27.7% pass rush win rate in 2024 for Michigan.

Jayden Higgins, WR Iowa State
Higgins had a productive senior season at Iowa State, totaling 87 receptions for 1,183 yards and nine touchdowns. The 22-year-old has a lengthy 6’4 frame that makes him a dominant threat in the red zone and a consistent playmaker in contested catch situations. Higgins also has reliable hands, dropping just two passes in 2024, and his underrated speed catches defenses by surprise.
Higgins would be a nice fit next to Calvin Ridley and give Tennessee a No.2 receiver who could eventually develop into the top receiving option in the offense.
