Titans Drop to 2-4 after DISHEARTENING Loss to Ravens In London
The Titans dropped to 2-4 today after an embarrassing loss to the Ravens in London. A failure in all aspects is a short description of today's Titans' loss. There's a lot to discuss, so let's not waste your time and get right into it…
There were a lot of subpar performances today, but the QBs take the cake for the worst. Ryan Tannehill got hurt toward the end of the third quarter, but the 35-year-old was horrid before he exited. Tannehill completed just 50% of his passes for 76 yards and one interception. The former Texas A.M Aggie was indecisive and disconcerted by the Ravens' Defense. He killed the Titans' second-half momentum when he heaved an interception in the third quarter to Safety Geno Stone. After Tannehill exited, Malik Willis entered the game and pulled off his best Ryan Tannehill impression. Though he threw for 74 yards and completed 80% of his passes, Willis took four horrendous and unnecessary sacks in the fourth quarter and was frightened to push the ball down the field. The QBs were lousy today, but the rest of the offense didn't do too much. The receivers couldn't separate off the line, and Derrick Henry and Tyjae Spears were ineffective outside of a few big runs. I'm tired of talking about the dreadful offensive line, but they were today. Andre Dillard was finally benched today, as NPF took his spot at left tackle. Though the offense was hideous today, the special teams unit was arguably worse…
The Titans' Special Teams cost them six points today. To end the first quarter, Ryan Stonehouse outkicked his coverage and gave up a giant 70-yard punt return to Devin Duvernay. It set the Ravens up deep in Tennessee territory and gifted Baltimore a free-field goal. To end the second half, Kyle Philips foolishly fielded a punt close to his endzone and muffed it to the Ravens. This gave Baltimore three free points to end the half, which was a significant reason Tennessee lost this game. Special Teams should never be the reason you lose a game, but the Titans' Special Teams played losing football today.
Though they weren't perfect today, the Titans' Defense was the one positive of today. SMB had an incredible interception, and the defense forced the Ravens' Offense to kick six field goals. The defense wasn't perfect, but they deserve close to no blame for this embarrassing loss.
This Titans team is a mess, and we are witnessing the end of an era here in Tennessee. Mike Vrabel and the Titans have won two games since last November and are 2-4 to start the season. Ryan Tannehill may be done for the season, so it's time to see what Will Levis has in him. It's time to build for the future; this season is OVER!!!
