this Titans Offensive Lineman impressed against the Chargers, and is getting No Credit!

Dillon Radunz was excellent in the Titans win over the Chargers!!

Ryan Tannehill and his improved showing against the LA Chargers is getting a lot of praise right now from Titans’ fans and experts. Though Tannehill and the passing game impressed a ton in the gutsy and on-brand Titans victory, this offensive lineman isn’t getting the credit he deserves for his outstanding game on Sunday…

Dillon Radunz has dealt with a ton of setbacks and injuries so far in his career, but his performance Sunday versus the Chargers is something to be excited about. Radunz didn’t expect to play a big role in the game, but after Guard Xavier Newman started to struggle, Mike Vrabel and O-Line Coach Jason Houghtaling had enough. In the middle of the first half, Radunz entered the game and made an immediate impact. On his first play in, Radunz pancaked a Chargers defensive lineman to the other side of the line of scrimmage on a Derrick Henry run, and from that point, he never looked back. Dillon was excellent the entire rest of the way, mauling people in the run game and providing above-average protection for Ryan Tannehill. Sunday was Radunz’s first game back from a Torn ACL, and he was moving better than he ever has. PFF seems to agree with me as well, as they gave Radunz a 74.3-game score. He ranked as the third-best offensive player on the team against LA and was the best O-Lineman. Mike Vrabel also heaped praise on his third-year guard/tackle in his weekly Monday Presser after the game, stating the following: “I overlooked his first bloc, he pushed a guy back about six or seven yards. He had more good plays than mistakes.” For a coach who is tough-nosed and hard on his players, that is some great praise from Vrabel to the former Bison!!

Offensive linemen don’t really get the credit that they deserve in football, but here at SharmSports, we show love to the guys in the trenches. With the way Dillon Radunz played on Sunday, he should be opening a ton of people’s eyes, and instilling fear in opposing D-lines. Look out for big number 75 in two-tone blue for the rest of the season!!!!
