2023 NFL season Predictions

It all begins with an idea.

By: Dharya Sharma

With the NFL season approaching, here are my official 2023 NFL Predictions (Awards, playoff teams, SB Winner).

NFC Playoff Teams-

1 seed: Eagles

2 seed: Seahawks

3 seed: Lions

4 seed: Saints

5 seed: Cowboys

6 seed: 49ers

7 seed: Giants

NFC CHAMPION-Seahawks: Probably a very controversial opinion, but they improved their defense and added to an already stacked offense through the draft and free agency. With the 49ers QB situation still up in the air, I could see them winning the NFC West and catching fire in the playoffs with that 12th-man home-field advantage.

AFC Playoff Teams:

1 seed: Chiefs

2 seed: Dolphins

3 seed: Bengals

4 seed: Titans

5 seed: Bills

6 seed: Ravens

7 seed: Jets

AFC CHAMPION- Chiefs: The defending Super Bowl Champions once again run through the AFC as Pat Mahomes and Andy Reid are the best QB-Coach Duo in the NFL.

Super Bowl Winner-Chiefs: A very boring, but realistic pick as a new dynasty will be formed in the NFL. As long as 15 is under center for the Chiefs, they will always be the Super Bowl favorite.

NFL AWARDS:

MVP- Joe Burrow: The time has come for Joe Cool to win MVP as there will be a ton of voters fatigue for Mahomes, and Burrow should have another fantastic season.

OPOY- Ja’marr Chase: Burrow winning MVP will also bring home Chase the Offensive Player of the Year as I project him to have over 1,600 yards and 15 TDS.

DPOY- Micah Parsons: Micah is excepted to make a full time switch to DE this season, meaning more opportunities to rush the passer, and more sacks. The expectation for Parsons is to lead the league in sacks and bring home the DPOY.

OROY- Bijan Robinson: This one was a pretty easy choice as Robinson will be the lead back in a run heavy Falcons offense. Head Coach Arthur Smith did wonders with Derrick Henry, and I expect Smith to utilize Bijan’s talent to the maximum. Expect nearly 2,000 All Purpose yards for the former Texas RB.

DROY-Will Anderson Jr: The number three overall pick will be a perfect fit in Demeco Ryans’ Defense, as he draws a lot of similarities to Nick Bosa. Anderson can rush the passer however you want him to: Bull rush, speed rush, swim move, you name it. The former Alabama standout has all the tools to become the next great Houston Texans pass rusher.

COY- Pete Carroll: If the Seahawks make a return to the Super Bowl like I believe they will, Carroll will win this award with ease. Many blamed Pete for the departure of Russell Wilson last offseason, but he proved many wrong as Seattle made the playoffs last season. I expect another great year from Seattle, with a much improved roster, and a COY trophy for the longtime Seahawk coach.

CPOY- Damar Hamlin: Easy choice, incredible story, will unanimously win the award if he plays one snap.
