This Titans’ 2022 Draft Pick is in danger of losing HIS roster spot!

The Tennessee Titans wrapped up organized team activities on Tuesday as the team inches closer to their first training camp under new head coach Brian Callahan. Though training camp cuts are still over two months away, we can still speculate on who Tennessee will choose to keep or cut off the 53-man roster. With that being said, here is one player from Jon Robinson's final draft class as Titans general manager in 2022 who is in danger of losing his roster spot.

The Titans selected wide receiver Kyle Philips in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. The former UCLA standout was seen as a high-potential player who would make an impact on special teams and possibly develop into an effective slot receiver. However, Philips has been underwhelming through two seasons due to injuries and lackluster play. The 24-year-old has played in just 13 total games in his first two years and has amassed just 23 catches and 259 yards in that time span. Philips also hasn't been as effective on special teams as we thought, as the former four-star recruit has struggled to hold onto the football in the return game.

Tennessee revamped their wide receiver corps this offseason with the acquisitions of Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd through free agency and the selection of Jha'Quan Jackson in the sixth round of the draft. These moves put pressure on Kyle Philips to perform and earn a roster spot in training camp. Rookie Jha'Quan Jackson will be Philips primary competition in training camp, as both will contend for the same role on this year's team. Though it is currently unknown how many receivers Brian Callahan and Ran Carthon will keep on the active roster, it is a safe bet that six is the most likely option, with the possibility of seven on the table. Training camp will be the determining factor for Philips' future in Nashville, but as it stands right now, the former UCLA Bruin is in jeopardy of losing his roster position.
