Titans Players entering Make or Break Seasons

The Tennessee Titans are less than a week away from training camp, as the players will arrive for camp on July 23rd. Though Tennessee has a couple of established stars on the roster, including Calvin Ridley, Deandre Hopkins, Jeffery Simmons, and L'Jarius Sneed, there are a few Titans entering make-or-break seasons who will look to establish themselves as long-term pieces on Tennessee's new-look organization.

Quarterback Will Levis

Levis showed promise during his rookie season but will have to put together a solid 2024 campaign to become the Two-Tone Blue's franchise quarterback. The 25-year-old has a much better team around him this season, as general manager Ran Carthon bolstered the offensive line and receiving corps and appointed an offensive-minded head coach. With Levis lacking a fifth-year option, Tennessee must find out this year if he is the guy moving forward.

Wide Receiver Treylon Burks

Burks has struggled to stay healthy through two seasons and hasn't produced up to his first-round standard when on the field. The former Arkansas standout will serve as the WR4 this season and also play a prominent role on special teams. If Burks can give Tennessee elite depth at receiver and phenomenal play on special teams, the 24-year-old has a chance to be on the team in 2025. But if Burks can't stay on the field and continues to provide subpar play, his tenure in Nashville will likely come to an end next offseason.

Offensive Tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere

2023 was a rough year for Petit-Frere, as the former third-round pick was suspended for the first six games of the season for violating the league's gambling policy and suffered a season-ending shoulder injury during Tennessee's week nine loss to the Steelers. The former Ohio State standout allowed three sacks and 11 QB pressures on just 66 pass-blocking snaps in 2023 and surrendered five sacks during his rookie campaign. With the Titans' right tackle situation still being weak, Petit-Frere will likely serve as the starter at the position, receiving an opportunity to have a bounce-back season in 2024 and erase his murky future in Nashville.

EDGE Rashad Weaver

Weaver had a limited defensive role last season, totaling just 234 defensive snaps and seven QB pressures. Heading into 2024, the former fourth-round pick will have a critical role in Tennessee's edge rusher room alongside Harold Landry and Arden Key. Weaver is set to hit unrestricted free agency next offseason, and a solid 2024 campaign could earn him a new contract with the Titans or a lucrative payday elsewhere.
