Titans biggest 2024 X-Factors on Offense

The Tennessee Titans offense will be under new leadership this season. Head coach Brian Callahan and offensive coordinator Nick Holz will look to reconstruct an offense that averaged just 17.9 points per game last season. Though coaching from Callahan and Holz will be an instrumental part of the Titans' offense next season, there are a few players who will have a tremendous impact on the team's success next season. Here are the Titans' four biggest x-factors on offense going into the 2024 campaign.

Quarterback Will Levis

This is the obvious one, as this season will rest on the shoulders of Levis. The 24-year-old has a much better team around him this season, with the additions of Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd to the wide receiver room, Tony Pollard to the running back room, and Lloyd Cushenberry and JC Latham to the offensive line. If Levis can play clean, mistake-free football and flourish in Brian Callahan's system, the Titans will compete for a playoff spot. But if he's erratic and turnover-prone, it'll be a long season in Nashville.

Offensive Tackle JC Latham

Tennessee's left tackle play has been abysmal over the past two seasons. JC Latham will be tasked to fix this problem and give the Titans stability at the position. Latham doesn't need to play at a Pro Bowl level in 2024; he just needs to protect the quarterback at an above-average level and be a force in the run game. If the 21-year-old gives Tennessee adequate play on the left side along with Peter Skoronski, it will make things much easier for Will Levis and the dynamic duo of Spears and Pollard.

Running Backs Tyjae Spears and Tony Pollard

The Titans' rushing attack is going to look a lot different this season, as there isn't a true workhorse back in the building anymore. Though Derrick Henry's departure from Tennessee is a tough pill to swallow, the new duo of Tyjae Spears and Tony Pollard fit the modern NFL and the formula to run a successful offense. Both are dependable receiving backs and complement each other well in the run game, as Spears thrives when running outside the tackles, while Pollard can do the same and also run between the tackles. This partnership will be fun to watch but will also hold heavy importance to the Titans' offense in 2024.

Tight End Chig Okonkwo

Okonkwo had a disappointing start to the 2023 season but rebounded nicely during the second half of the year. Though the former Maryland standout didn't have the sophomore jump we expected, he could still be a valuable piece of the offense moving forward. The 24-year-old will have to cut down on the drops, as he dropped six passes last year in 74 targets. But we've seen the talent and big play ability; Chig just has to put it all together in year three.
