Will Levis has established himself as the Titans QB of the Future

The Titans tumbled to the Steelers 20-16 tonight as Will Levis made his second career start under the lights. Despite the loss, the 33rd pick in the 2023 NFL Draft played a gutsy and fearless game, as he had the Titans on the cusp of victory. With his performance these last two weeks, Levis has officially established himself as the Titans' QB now and for the future...

Levis' stats don't look appealing, but the former Wildcat played better than what his numbers show. Will completed 22 of his 39 passes for 262 yards and one interception. The Titans' offensive line shuffled around numerous times today due to the alarming amount of injuries sustained. NPF, Dillard, and Brunskill all exited the game at some point with an injury, and Levis played with a reserve O-line for most of the game. Treylon Burks sustained a horrific injury late in the fourth quarter, and my prayers go out to him. Despite all these injuries, Tennessee maintained the lead for most of the game, and Levis played controlled but aggressive football. A late Diontae Johnson touchdown put the Steelers up 20-16 in the fourth quarter, and Levis did just about all he could on the final drive to will his team to victory (no pun intended). On the final drive and throughout the game, Levis was making challenging, veteran-level throws in tight windows and was playing savvy and calculated football. Mayo Man's best drive of the game came at the end of the first half, where he made two incredibly intricate throws to Kyle Philips and led the Titans down the field for an FG before the half. The last drive of the game was also impressive, as he made some clever throws to Chig Okonkwo and Chris Moore, but time just ran out...

The Titans have found their QB, and I'm confident in saying that. It's been a while since we've seen a Titans' QB with the moxy and confidence of Will Levis, but I'm here for it. Accuracy and decision making is still sloppy at times, but Patrick Mahomes even flounders with that on occasion. Ryan Tannehill restored the winning culture in Tennessee, but it's time for him to pass the torch to 8...
