Will Levis Shines as Titans Outlast Falcons 28-23
The Titans may have found their guy?! Tennessee outlasted the Falcons at home to pick up their third win on the season, and Will Levis was nothing short of excellent. The 24-year-old willed the Titans to a pivotal victory today, but he wasn't the only one who stepped up big for the Two-Tone Blue...
Let's start with Levis, who had one of the greatest rookie QB debuts of all time today. The former Wildcat completed 65% of his passes for 238 yards and four passing touchdowns. Levis looked cool, calm, and collected all day and was picking apart the Falcons' Secondary. Deandre Hopkins was on the receiving end for three of Levis' TDs while also registering 128 yards. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine continues to be a welcoming surprise for Tennessee this season, as he came up with another momentous touchdown late to put it out of reach. Though he isn't getting much attention due to Will Levis' stunning play, Derrick Henry was phenomenal today for the Titans. The King dashed his way to 101 rushing yards on 22 carries and picked up some critical third downs late in the game. I've been incredibly harsh towards the offensive line all season, but today, they deserve their flowers. The unit allowed just two sacks and gave Levis adequate time to get comfortable and fire darts. Chris Hubbard went down toward the end of the first half, but the offense didn't miss a beat. Finally, Tim Kelly called a splendid game and put Levis in favorable and relaxed spots to operate. The Titans offense scored 28 points today, the most they've achieved since 2021. Mayo Man may be the Franchise QB Nashville has been looking for!!
The Titans' defense allowed some chunk plays in the second half, but they played a fantastic game. Jeffery Simmons finally had that $94 million game we've been waiting for, and the defense flustered Desmond Ridder in the first half. When Taylor Heinickie came in, Tennessee allowed some X plays down the field but got the stop late to seal the victory. It wasn't perfect from the Titans' defense, but they did just enough to lead Tennessee to victory...
The Titans are 3-4, and the season has been revived. A few days ago, many thought the Titans were headed for an all-out rebuild after the Byard Trade and the swirling rumors. Now, Will Levis has rejuvenated Titans' fans and the team...
