FInal 5-Round Titans Mock Draft!
It's officially NFL Draft week! With the 2024 NFL Draft kicking off in just a few days, let's do one final five-round mock draft. Even after an active free agency, Tennessee still has several needs that must be filled starting Thursday night.
Round 1, Pick 7: OT Joe Alt, Notre Dame
Alt is the heavy favorite to land in Nashville, so there's no reason to switch up now. The Titans' left tackle situation has been putrid since the departure of Taylor Lewan, as Tennessee left tackles have allowed 36 sacks in the past two seasons. Joe Alt allowed just five pressures in 2023 and scored an elite run-blocking grade of 86.5. The 21-year-old's technique and fundamentals make him the top offensive lineman in the class and a potential franchise building block for General Manager Ran Carthon.
TRADE WITH RAMS:
TEN RECEIVES: Pick 52, Pick 83, 2025 4th Round Pick
LA RECEIVES: Pick 38
Round 2, Pick 52: EDGE Marshawn Kneeland, Western Michigan
After trading back with the Rams and acquiring an extra day-two selection, the Titans land their Denico Autry replacement in Western Michigan's Marshawn Kneeland. The 6'3, 270-pound edge boasts elite size, raw power, and a relentless motor that will pair well with Jeffery Simmons. Kneeland isn't the most refined pass-rusher yet, but his potential to be an impact player is too good to pass up on at 52.
Round 3, Pick 83: WR Jalen McMillan, Washington
Injuries and exceptional seasons from Rome Odunze and Ja'Lynn Polk caused McMillan's numbers to dip in 2023, but the 22-year-old would fit what Tennessee needs in a wide receiver. HC Brian Callahan stated that the team is looking for a receiver to emerge in the slot, which happens to be McMillan's specialty. The former Huskie played 91% of his snaps in the slot during his final two collegiate seasons and had a 1,000-yard season in that slot position in 2022. McMillan's ability to find soft spots against zone coverage and run a diverse route tree will be a powerful weapon for QB Will Levis.
Round 4, Pick 106: LB Trevin Wallace, Kentucky
Wallace is a little rough around the edges, but the 21-year-old's tenacity and effort on each play are exactly what Dennard Wilson is looking for in a defensive player. The former Wildcat posted 80 tackles and 5.5 sacks in 2023 and captained the Kentucky defense. A developmental player with raw talent who will still see a fair amount of playing time in year one.
Round 5, Pick 146: CB Jarvis Brownlee Jr, Louisville
Tennessee had Brownlee in for a Top-30 visit in March. The 22-year-old's aggression and physicality mesh well with the Titans' current cornerback room and DC Dennard Wilson's philosophy. Brownlee scored a 78.1 coverage grade in 2023 and will provide adequate depth behind L'Jarius Sneed and Chidobe Awuzie.
