Top Ryan Tannehill Landing Spots

The Titans got their first glimpse at Will Levis today, and he did not disappoint. The Rookie threw four touchdowns in his NFL Debut and commanded the offense better than any QB has this season. There's no way the Titans can come out of that game thinking that Will Levis doesn't give them the best chance to win. If Tennessee rolls with Levis the rest of the way, it would be wise for Ran Carthon to try to find a trade partner for Veteran QB Ryan Tannehill. Here are some potential landing spots for Tannehill… (NOTE: Tannehill is recovering from a high ankle sprain, so he would have to be somewhat healthy to be traded).

TANNEHILLS VALUE: Mid-Late Round Pick

The Favorite: Minnesota Vikings

Kirk Cousins likely tore his Achilles today and will miss the rest of the season. Minnesota moved to 4-4 after their win in Green Bay and still have playoff aspirations moving forward. Jaren Hall isn't going to cut it if the Vikings want to play in the middle of January, so why not take a shot on Tannehill? The former Aggie has won playoff games in this league and has a similar playstyle to Cousins. It's clear that Minnesota needs a veteran QB if they want to salvage their season, and Ryan Tannehill seems like the perfect fit...

Second Place: New York Jets

The Jets have always been intrigued by Tannehill, as he was their backup plan in the offseason if they couldn't land Rodgers. New York squeaked by with a win over their crosstown rivals, but it's clear that Zach Wilson isn't going to cut it. The Jets still want to compete and potentially qualify for the playoffs, and Wilson won't be able to do that. Bringing in Tannehill would be brilliant, as he would work well with Robert Salah and the culture he has built in the Meadowlands. Ryan also wouldn't have to shoulder all the load, as New York's defense continues to be one of the best in the NFL. The Jets need a grown-up at QB, and Tannehill seems like an immaculate fit for the young team...

Third Place: Atlanta Falcons

How ironic would it be if the Falcons traded for Tannehill days after playing against the Titans? Atlanta's loss to Tennessee exposed the Falcons' Number One weakness: QB play. Ridder isn't good enough to be a Franchise QB, and Heinicke isn't anything special either. Tannehill had his finest years as a pro when Arthur Smith was his OC, and Atlanta runs a very similar offense to Tennessee, with the run game and play action being the focal points. Fit-wise, this is the marquee destination for Tannehill, but I don't think the Falcons have given up on Ridder yet...

The Tannehill Era in Tennessee lasted way longer than we all expected, but it's over. Will Levis is the future, and there's no point in not playing him for the rest of the season. Don't lose Tannehill for nothing in the offseason, and deal him before Tuesday's Deadline!!
