The Titans must trade this Defensive player before the Trade Deadline!

The Tennessee Titans have officially begun the firesale. With the team sitting at 1-5 and gearing up for a rebuild, general manager Ran Carthon traded away wide receiver Deandre Hopkins and linebacker Ernest Jones on Wednesday, and it's clear Tennessee isn't done trading away veteran assets.

Though Harold Landry, Tyler Boyd, Quandre Diggs, and other veterans could be dealt sooner rather than later, there is one defensive player the Titans MUST trade before the Nov.5 trade deadline.

Defensive lineman Sebastian Joseph-Day has quietly had a solid season in a rotational role for the Titans, posting two sacks and eight quarterback pressures. The former sixth-round pick has played just 154 snaps this season but is third on the team in run stops by a defensive lineman with 11, only behind Landry and Simmons.

Though Joseph-Day has made an overall positive impact, the former Ram doesn't have a long-term future in Nashville and is on an expiring deal. The Titans should look to trade the 29-year-old before the deadline, and contrary to popular belief, teams will be interested in the veteran.

As the season progresses, playoff contenders value defensive line depth more and more. Though Joseph-Day isn't a high-end player, the former Rutgers standout's starting and championship experience with the Rams will be valuable on the open market, and teams will want to acquire him for depth purposes. Additionally, his one-year, $4 million deal is extremely affordable.

Teams like the Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49ers, and Washington Commanders could be in the market for Joseph-Day's services. But any playoff contender would gladly trade for the six-year veteran and add him to their defensive line group.

By trading Joseph-Day, the Titans would land a Day 3 pick, which is better than losing him for nothing in the offseason. Ran Carthon must continue stockpiling future picks, and moving the Super Bowl 56 champion Sebastian Joseph-Day to a contender should be the Titans' next plan of action.
