4 wide RECEIVERS the Titans should target in free agency!
Though offensive line is the most pressing need for the Titans this offseason, GM Ran Carthon can't overlook the mess at WR. Outside of Deandre Hopkins, Tennessee has no viable receiving threat, which is inexcusable in today's NFL. The 2024 Free Agent WR Class is overall lackluster, but there are still a couple of names the Titans should consider acquiring...
Calvin Ridley
After two hectic seasons in 2021 and 2022, highlighted by a gambling suspension and trade to the Jaguars, Ridley had a solid 2023 season and showcased why he's still an effective playmaker. The 29-year-old hauled in 76 catches for 1,016 yards and 8 TDs last season and posted a 69.2 receiving grade. Titans QB Will Levis gave a glowing endorsement of Ridley on the "RG3 and The Ones" podcast, stating: "Yeah, he's definitely an awesome player. I got to see first-hand him torch us a couple of times. It would be cool to have someone of his caliber out there playing. I'm sure he's comfortable with Holz." Ridley's familiarity with new Titans OC Nick Holz, who served as Jacksonville's Pass Game Coordinator in 2023, could entice Ridley to Nashville.

Curtis Samuel
The Titans were ranked as the third-slowest WR corp in the NFL last season (STAT) and must prioritize adding speed. Subpar QB play has caused a dip in Curtis Samuel's numbers, but the 27-year-old's ability after the catch and 4.31 speed would be a welcoming addition to the Titans offense. The former Buckeye had 62 catches for 613 yards and 4 TDS in 2023 and boasted a 73.4 receiving grade. Samuel's high usage in the slot would also fit Tennessee's new offense under Brian Callahan perfectly, as the first-year HC had success in Cincinnati with slot receiver Tyler Boyd.

Darnell Mooney
Mooney has posted two straight lackluster seasons, failing to reach 500 yards in 2022 and 2023. But the former 5th-round pick could be an ideal low-risk, high-reward signing. The 26-year-old had an adequate 2021 season, hauling in 81 catches for 1,055 yards and 4 TDS. Though a change of scenery wouldn’t guarantee a Mooney resurgence, it’s obviously much needed. New Titans WR Coach Tyke Tolbert spoke highly of Mooney in the past, stating the following: "He's a really hard worker. One of, if not the hardest workers I've coached in 21 years in the NFL" (SOURCE). The former Tulane standout's speed and big play ability could be rejuvenated alongside QB Will Levis in the Music City!

Gabe Davis
Davis has struggled to stay consistent throughout his career, as his impact varies almost every game. But the 24-year-old still has room to grow and would be an explosive addition to the WR corp. Davis's knack for big plays would make him an ideal target for Will Levis, as the former Seminole has had 23 catches over 20 yards the past two seasons, along with a yards-per-catch average of 17. Tennessee wouldn't have to break the bank signing him, and Davis still has room to develop and refine his game!
