Titans Offense gets manhandled in Blowout Loss to the Browns!
Another embarrassing loss for the Titans!
What the heck was that?? The Titans were outplayed, outcoached, and completely dominated on both sides today in a blowout road loss to the Cleveland Browns. The defense tried their best today with their backs against the wall most of the time, but they didn't have the best of games. On the other hand, the offense was very consistent, consistently bad!
The Titans' offense had 94 total yards of offense in a football game in 2023. Though Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry both had awful games, they couldn't do anything because of this excuse of an offensive line. Andre Dillard was horrible today and looks like a colossal miss of a free-agent signing. The rest of the O-Line could have been better, as the interior couldn't get any movement and create holes for the King. Treylon Burks and Chig had some horrible drops that cost the Titans significant third-down conversions, and Deandre Hopkins was a nonfactor outside of a couple of big catches. Tim Kelly doesn't get a pass as well for this embarrassing offensive showing by Tennessee today, as he was inept at solving problems and had zero creativity in his play calls. The Titans' offense also did nothing to help their defense, as they were constantly on the field the entire game. The Browns possessed the ball for a whopping 38 minutes, while the Titans had it for only 21 minutes. Though the offense was terrible, Tennessee's defense wasn't great today either.
The Titans' inability to stop the deep passing game was on full display today, as Amari Cooper and co repeatedly cooked Kristian Fulton and the secondary. Though they got a bit of pressure, the Titans' pass rush was nonexistent for most of the afternoon, as Watson had a clean pocket far too many times. Shane Bowen was outcoached today, as he had no answers for this Cleveland passing attack. Though they struggled, the defense gets minimal blame for today's embarrassing and dejecting loss…
Mike Vrabel doesn't get a pass from me today, as he was completely outclassed and outcoached by Stefanski today. The debacle at the end of the first half, where the Titans fumbled an opportunity for three points, was terrible, and Vrabel just looked like he gave up. This might be an overreaction, but Vrabel's seat is getting warm. Tennessee has a 2-9 record in their last 11 games, and some of these losses are more than just the players.
Is it time to hit the panic button?? Maybe! The offense has no hope with this putrid offensive line, and the defense can't do anything. Vrabel and Co. have a ton of problems to fix in a short amount of time...
