Deandre Hopkins has broken the TITANS’ Irritating WR Curse!

The Tennessee Titans are known for having a rich and storied running back history. Earl Campbell, Eddie George, Chris Johnson, and Derrick Henry are the four names that stand out the most in the Titans' affluent RB history. On the other hand, Tennessee has struggled to find a franchise-altering WR to pair alongside these dominant running backs and have used many solutions to try to fix the lengthy and irritating crisis. One of those solutions has been acquiring veteran WRs who are nearing the end of their primes, hoping they will return to form once sporting the Two-Tone Blue. This strategy failed for decades as Randy Moss, Andre Johnson, and Julio Jones flamed out in Tennessee after one year each. When the Titans signed Deandre Hopkins in July, many envisioned Dhop to be the next victim of the Titans' Veteran WR curse, but that hasn't transpired one bit...

Will Levis and Dhop have built quite the chemistry since the former Wildcat has taken over as the starting QB, and we've seen shades of Houston Hop these last couple of weeks. Since the departure of A.J. Brown, the Titans have been starving for a WR who can make plays on a consistent basis, and Deandre Hopkins has been that so far this season. Dhop may have broken Tennessee's prolonged veteran WR curse, but there is still plenty of work that needs to be done to repair this sporadic position group...

Hopkins has been splendid this season, but he's nearing the end of his peak. Tennessee doesn't have an explosive and young playmaking WR for the future on the roster, and it couldn't be more annoying. We all hope that Treylon Burks will fill that void, but the former Razorback has to stay on the field to do so. Trading A.J. Brown may have been the most detrimental decision a franchise has made in a while, and I don't mean that lightly. Dhop has broken the aching curse, but he isn't the long-term answer for the Titans at WR...
