Why the Titans are Entering a Must Win game Versus the Colts
After last week’s domination against the Cincinnati Bengals at home, the Titans are back on the road to take on their biggest division rival: The Indianapolis Colts. Both teams come into this contest at 2-2, and this early season bout will have major playoff implications moving forward. With this being said, this game is must must-win for both sides, especially Tennessee…
November 12th, 2020: The last time the Colts beat the Titans. It’s been tough sledding for Indy against the Titans ever since that night, and you know they want to snap their five-game losing streak against Tennessee on Sunday. The Colts come into this game with a record of 2-2, with wins over the Ravens and Texans and losses to the Jags and Rams. Rookie QB Anthony Richardson has had some ups and downs, but the potential and big play ability has already been put on full display. Under Mike Vrabel, Tennessee has been hurt by many mobile QBs, including Lamar Jackson and Kyler Murray. Though this Tennessee defense was tremendous last week, they have their work cut out for them against Richardson. Michael Pittman Jr is no slouch as well, and the return of Jonathan Taylor will be one to watch. Sunday will be the healthiest and best offense Indy has had all year, and Shane Bowen and the defense can’t take this lightly. Indianapolis Defense isn’t one to forget about as well, as they haven’t given up 30 points all year. Zaire Franklin is on a historic pace, and Deforest Buckner is still a premier defensive tackle in this league. Now that we have learned a little bit about our opponent, it’s time to give my official prediction for this pivotal division game…
The Titan’s inability to limit Mobile QBs under Vrabel frightens me, and it could get ugly tomorrow if Anthony Richardson finds a hole in the defense. Though Indy’s Defense is honorable, it’s nothing the Titans’ Offense can’t handle. The return of Kyle Philips should add some depth to the WR corp, and Skoronski being back is going to strengthen the O-Line. Tennessee should be able to control this game on the ground with Derrick Henry, but Induy will try to do the same with the duo of Taylor and Richardson. When it’s all said and done, the Titans’ culture under Mike Vrabel is going to lead to a Tennessee Victory. Though Richardson’s freakish athleticism is a cause for concern, I trust Shane Bowen to scheme up a plan to neutralize it. Tennessee has established a winning culture under Vrabel, and that goes further than you think. Expect a physical, low-scoring victory for Mike Vrabel and the boys!!!
SCORE PREDICTION: 16-13 Titans
