Biggest Disappointments of the NFL Season, So far…

This NFL Season has been filled with jaw-dropping and head-scratching moments as some players and teams have exceeded our expectations while some have failed to meet the hype. Here are five of the biggest disappointments of the 2023 NFL Season (So far)...

Josh Allen, Bills QB

Before the season, many assumed Allen would finally take that MVP jump and thrust the Bills to the mountaintop. That has yet to be the case in 2023, as Allen has taken a significant step back in year six. Though he leads the league in TD passes, the former Wyoming Cowboy is the NFL leader in INTs thrown and has cost Buffalo multiple games due to his inadequate decision-making. The Bills are currently 5-5 after their disheartening loss to the Broncos, and winning the division may be out of the question entirely. This team may not even qualify for the playoffs, and a lot of blame will be placed on the shoulders of 17...

Justin Fields, Bears QB

Though he has missed time due to injury, Fields has looked lethargic and uneasy in his six starts. Fields hasn't started a game since Wee Six, and Chicago has looked more crisp and consistent with backup QB Tyson Bagent under the center. In his six starts, the former Buckeye has thrown 11 TDs to six interceptions and is barely completing 60% of his passes. Not the Pro Bowl ascension must envisioned for JF1...

Carolina Panthers

Many, including me, believed the new-look Panthers would compete and win the NFC South. Instead, they are the worst team in the entire NFL by a significant margin. Bryce Young has yet to look like the franchise QB the Panthers expected he would be, and Frank Reich is on the cusp of being fired after just half a season. Losses against the Bears and Colts are downright inexcusable, especially with how much hype the group was getting before the season. Though they are still enduring a full-scale rebuild, the people of Charlotte are panicking about the team's future, and so should you...

New York Giants

After a triumphant 2022, which included a playoff win and a Coach of the Year award winner, the Giants have fallen right back down to Earth in 2023. The G-Men are sitting at 2-8, and many in New Jersey are already turning their attention to April's Draft. Brian Daboll has taken a humongous step back after a fantastic 2022, and the Giants seem destined for more mediocre years. With Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley's futures looking murky, the G-Men may be propelled into an unplanned rebuild with a new signal caller relatively soon...

All these Injuries

The number of season-ending injuries this season has been heartbreaking and frustrating. We want to see every team have the best possible chance to win, and all these damn injuries aren't going to let that come to fruition. Deshaun Watson, Aaron Rodgers, Daniel Jones, and Mike Williams are just a couple of prominent names that have had their seasons cut short due to injuries (A-Rod may pull off a miracle, though)...

Every NFL Season is filled with disappointments, but it's a part of the game. Only a few prevail in this league, and many hard-working individuals will have to endure rough patches...
