This Titans Player has Exceeded EXPECTATIONS this Season!

The Titans have yet to meet expectations this season, as the team is currently sitting at 2-4. One of the leading reasons Tennessee has been so underwhelming this season is the performance of the Offensive Line. The Titans' O-Line has given up 23 sacks on the year, which is fourth worst in the NFL. Many on the unit have struggled, but Guard Daniel Brunskill has been a shocking surprise for Tennessee this season, and here's why!

Ran Carthon signed Brunskill in March to a two-year, five-and-a-half-million-dollar deal. When Tennessee signed the former 49er, many expected Brunskill to be an average starter who would do just enough to keep his job. Through six weeks, Brunskill has surpassed those expectations considerably, as he has been one of the best players on the team! Brunskill has a rock-solid 67.1 PFF Grade and hasn't committed a penalty yet. The former Walk-On at San Diego State has given up two sacks on the year, but the number is astonishingly low, considering he has played every single offensive snap for Tennessee thus far! Daniel’s 357 snaps played to two sacks allowed ratio is one of the best in the entire league for Guards. For more context, Brunskill has committed fewer penalties than Zach Martin and has a higher PFF Grade than Joel Bitonio! The 29-year-old is playing at a Pro Bowl level, but no one seems to be paying attention!

Here at SharmSports, we focus on the players who deserve more respect and recognition. Daniel Brunskill has not only exceeded expectations but has arguably been the best player on the Titans this season! He has established himself as a Top 10 Guard in this league and has been one of the lone bright spots on an underperforming offense this season. The Titans' O-Line has dealt with a ton of adversity this season, with the Peter Skoronski injury, NPF Suspension, and their overall abysmal play. Daniel has kept them together and has been a veteran leader of the group. Ran Carthon did a tremendous job by signing Brunskill to such a cheap deal, but expect the former San Diego State standout to get a much-deserved extension or pay raise in the offseason!!
