Titans SUFFOCATE Bengals Behind Two Derrick Henry TOUCHDOWNS

After last week's disaster in Cleveland, the Titans returned home and flat-out dominated the Bengals 27-3. The Titans scored 21 points in the second quarter, and the defense held Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Offense to just three points. Let's talk about this impressive Titans Victory!!!

The Titan's offense played their best game since November 2022. Besides an interception in the fourth quarter when the game was already decided, Ryan Tannehill played flawlessly. The Titans' QB completed 18 of 26 passes for 240 yards, one TD and one INT. Tannehill was excellent all game, especially on third down, as the Titans converted 8 of 13 third-down attempts. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Chris Moore stepped up in the absence of Treylon Burks, as both made two of the game's biggest plays. Moore's 44-yard catch set the Titans up to take a three-score lead before the half, and NWI had an awesome TD to get things going for Tennessee. Westbrook-Ikhine finished the game with five catches, 51 yards, and a touchdown. Though he isn't prime Deandre Hopkins, Tennessee's free agent splash continues to make plays. Dhop hauled four catches for 63 yards and had some humongous third-down conversions to keep eventual touchdown drives going for Tennessee. And for the moment you've all been waiting for, All Hail the King! Derrick Henry was all over the place today and dominated this football game from start to finish. The King ran for 122 yards on 22 carries and found the endzone twice in unique ways. Henry showed off his power and strength on a 29-yard TD run in the second quarter, extending the Titan's lead to 14. To end the half, Henry executed his famous jump pass to rookie tight end Josh Whyle for the score! King Henry has officially returned, and the entire NFL should be on notice. Derrick's partner in crime, Tyjae Spears, continues to show his worth. Spears ran for 40 yards on just five carries and continues to be a receiving threat for Tennessee. The Titans' offensive line played their best game of the season today, allowing just three sacks and paving the way for 173 total team rush yards. Dillard is still a problem, but the rest of the O-Line played well, outside of a couple of bad snaps by Aaron Brewer. Though they didn't have the most significant impact on the game, the Titan's tight end room did their job when called upon, as Chig had a big catch to set up a field goal, and Whyle scored his first NFL TD. Finally, Tim Kelly called a magnificent game today, and his play calling and creativity are levels above Todd Downing. Even though the Titans' offense was tremendous today, the defense was even better!!

Tennessee's defense played a nearly flawless game, outside Cincy's opening drive field goal. Joe Burrow had no chance with the Titans' pass rush screaming at him from all angles. Jeff Simmons and Denico Autry were having themselves a day tipping passes and making Burrow's life hell. Harold Landry and Arden Key bullied the Bengals' Overrated Tackles all day, and Zac Taylor had no answer. Azeez Al-Shaair continues to prove his worth as the captain of this defense alongside Kevin Byard, making physical plays on the ball and shutting down the middle of the field. Though they struggled last week, the Titans' secondary was shut down today, holding Joe Burrow to 165 yards passing and causing a ton of check-downs. At this rate, Shane Bowen won't be the Titans DC in 2024 because he will be a Head Coach somewhere; he's coordinated this defense exceptionally well the last couple of seasons. Overall, this was an oppressive and dominating performance by the Titans' Defense!!

The Titans are 2-2, and Mike Vrabel can breathe. Many scrutinized the Head Coach last week for a poor performance on the road in Cleveland, but he outcoached Zac Taylor today. Looking ahead, Tennessee has Indy next week on the road, which will be a significant division game. The Titans are 2-2, and their season is alive!!
