Full 1st round NFL mock Draft: 5 qbs in the top 10!

It's Mock Draft Season! With the NFL Draft less than a month away, let's take a look at my first full first round NFL mock draft!

R1P1 (CHI Bears): Caleb Williams, QB USC

USA TODAY

A no-brainer for Chicago as they draft the 2022 Heisman Trophy Winner to be the franchise's savior. Williams went to dinner with the Bears' brass before his pro day, and the two sides are already forming a relationship. The draft really starts with the second overall pick!

R1P2 (WASH Commanders): Jayden Daniels, QB LSU

AP PHOTO

After a stellar 2023 season, capped off by winning the Heisman Trophy, Daniels lands in Washington. The 23-year-old gives the Commanders a pleasant mix of mobility and arm talent, something they've lacked at the QB position since the early RG3 and Kirk Cousin days.

R1P3 (NE Patriots): Drake Maye, QB UNC

NBC SPORTS

Drake Maye falls right into New England's hands at three, as new head coach Jerod Maye finds his quarterback of the future. Maye regressed stats-wise in 2023 but has all the tools and intangibles to be New England's next franchise quarterback.

R1P4 (AZ Cardinals): Marvin Harrison Jr, WR Ohio State

USA TODAY

Despite rumors of potentially trading back, Arizona stays at four and takes the best wide receiver in the class. With the departure of Hollywood Brown via Free Agency, wide receiver becomes a substantial need for the Cardinals. Pairing Kyler Murray with MHJ is a fantastic start to filling that pressing need.

R1P5 (TRADE UP: MIN Vikings): JJ McCarthy, QB Michigan

USA TODAY

The Chargers trade back to pick 11 while also acquiring pick 23. Minnesota trades up to five and select Michigan QB JJ McCarthy. Though I don't believe McCarthy is a first-round-level quarterback, the buzz around the national champion is widespread. With Kirk Cousins departing to Atlanta, the Vikings take McCarthy to kickstart their rebuild.

R1P6 (NY Giants): Malik Nabers, WR LSU

USA TODAY

With the four best quarterbacks off the board, New York sticks with Daniel Jones and provides him with an explosive weapon. Nabers was arguably the best wide receiver in college football last year and will immediately step in as the Giants' WR1 for the future.

R1P7 (TEN Titans): Joe Alt, OT Notre Dame

USA TODAY

Tennessee's left tackle play has been abysmal over the past two seasons. Though trading back is on the table, the Titans stay put at seven and take Notre Dame's Joe Alt. The 21-year-old allowed one sack in his final 1,600 collegiate snaps and will protect Will Levis' blindside at a Pro Bowl level on day one.

R1P8 (ATL Falcons): Dallas Turner, EDGE Alabama

GETTY

Atlanta could use a young, energetic edge rusher, so they go with Alabama's Dallas Turner. The 21-year-old's diverse pass-rushing skill set will be a welcoming addition to Raheem Morris' defense.

R1P9 (TRADE UP: DEN Broncos): Michael Penix Jr, QB WASH

GETTY

Chicago moves back three spots, while Denver moves up for Michael Penix Jr. The Broncos will be desperate for a QB after moving on from Russell Wilson earlier in the offseason. Penix Jr had a terrific 2023 season, reaching the national championship and being a nominee for the Heisman Trophy. Sean Payton and Co. take a big swing and trade up within the Top ten for the 23-year-old.

R1P10 (NY Jets): Brock Bowers, TE Georgia

GETTY

New York addressed many of their offensive needs in free agency, bolstering the offensive line by signing Tyron Smith and trading for Morgan Moses. Though edge or interior offensive line could be possible here, New York opts to take Brock Bowers and give Aaron Rodgers another prolific weapon.

R1P11 (TRADE BACK: LA Chargers): Rome Odunze, WR WASH

Getty Images

After trading back to 11 with Minnesota, the Chargers get a steal and address their pressing need at wide receiver with Rome Odunze. The 21-year-old had back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons to end his collegiate career and will head to LA to aid Justin Herbert.

R1P12 (TRADE BACK: CHI Bears): Jared Verse, EDGE FSU

AP Photo

Chicago lands Jared Verse after trading back to 12 with Denver. The explosive and powerful edge heads to the Windy City to form a formidable pass-rushing duo with Montez Sweat.

R1P13 (LV Raiders): Taliese Fuaga, OT Oregon St

GETTY

The right side of the offensive line in Vegas is lackluster. Antonio Pierce and new GM Tom Telesco fix the issue by selecting the best right tackle in the class, Oregon State's Taliese Fuaga.

R1P14 (NO Saints): Olu Fashanu, OT Penn State

GETTY

With Andrus Peat's departure, Ryan Ramczyk's uncertain future, and former first-round pick Trevor Penning disappointing, tackle becomes a massive need for the Saints. Olu Fashanu is the best pass protector in this year's class and fills an urgent need for New Orleans.

R1P15 (INDY Colts): Terrion Arnold, CB Alabama

GETTY

After missing out on L'Jarius Sneed, the corner is still a humongous need for the Colts. Alabama's Terrion Arnold allowed a 50.7 passer rating when targeted in 2023 and is the first corner of the board.

R1P16(SEA Seahawks): Troy Fautanu, OL WASH

AP PHOTO

Seattle lost Damien Lewis earlier this offseason, so they address interior offensive line with Troy Fautanu. Despite playing left tackle in 2023, Fautanu projects as a guard at the next level and will immediately step in as the starter at LG for the Seahawks.

R1P17 (JAX Jaguars): Quinyon Mitchell, CB Toledo

AP PHOTO

Darious Williams' departure creates a need in the secondary for Jacksonville. Quinyon Mitchell's stock has skyrocketed since his outstanding performance at the combine, and his 51.1 passer rating when targeted would be an excellent addition to the Jaguars' secondary.

R1P18 (CIN Bengals): Byron Murphy II, DT Texas

USA TODAY

DJ Reader left Cincy and signed with the Lions, leaving a gaping hole in the middle of the Bengals' D-Line. HC Zac Taylor will fill that hole by selecting Texas DT Byron Murphy, who had a 91.1 PFF Grade in 2023.

R1P19 (LA Rams): JC Latham, OT Alabama

USA TODAY

As Matthew Stafford continues to age, offensive line becomes more and more vital for the Rams. Alabama's JC Latham was one of the best pass protectors in the nation in 2023 and will be a future starter on the offensive line in LA.

R1P20 (PIT Steelers): AD Mitchell, WR Texas

USA TODAY NETWORK

Pittsburgh traded away Diontae Johnson and still need another starting-caliber wide receiver on the outside for Russell Wilson. Pairing George Pickens with his former college teammate AD Mitchell would be a fun WR duo in the Steel City.

R1P21 (MIA Dolphins): Jer'Zhan Newton, DT Illinois

IL FOOTBALL

Miami needs an intimidating presence in the middle of the defensive line after the departure of Christian Wilkins. Illinois DT Jer'Zhan Newton is 6'2, 295 pounds, and had an 84.9 PFF Grade in 2023. An immediate starter for the playoff-hopeful Dolphins.

R1P22 (TRADE UP: DET Lions): Brian Thomas Jr, WR LSU

USA TODAY

The second LSU wide receiver goes off the board as the Lions trade up to 22 to select Brian Thomas Jr. The 21-year-old's explosiveness and versatility to play in the slot and on the outside will pair perfectly with Amon-Ra St Brown.

R1P23 (TRADE: LA Chargers): Nate Wiggins, CB Clemson

GETTY IMAGES

LA also acquired pick 23 in this mock after trading back from five, and address their need at cornerback. Wiggins allowed just 176 yards and a passer rating of 44.4 in 2023. A day-one starter on Jesse Minter's new-look defense.

R1P24 (DAL Cowboys): Jackson Powers-Johnson, C Oregon

GETTY IMAGES

After losing Tyler Biadasz in free agency to the division rival Commanders, Dallas addresses center in round one. Jackson Powers-Johnson allowed zero sacks and zero QB hits in 2023 and is the best center in the class.

R1P25 (GB Packers): Graham Barton, OL Duke

GETTY IMAGES

Green Bay's interior offensive line is weak after the departure of Jon Runyan. Duke's Graham Barton played left tackle his entire collegiate career but projects as a guard at the next level. Allowed two sacks and nine QB hurries in 2023.

R1P26 (TB Bucs): Laiatu Latu, EDGE UCLA

GETTY

Tampa Bay moved on Shaq Barrett earlier in the offseason, so edge has become a significant need. UCLA's Laiatu Latu had 13 sacks in 2023 and will provide an energetic and powerful presence off the edge.

R1P27 (AZ Cardinals): Chop Robinson, EDGE Penn State

SPORTSKEEDA

Arizona is a hot mess on the defensive side of the ball. After addressing offense at pick four with Marvin Harrison Jr, GM Monti Ossenfort goes defense here. Penn State EDGE Chop Robinson had a 90.8 PFF Grade in 2023.

R1P28 (BUF Bills): Amarimus Mims, OT Georgia

JASON GETZ

Buffalo's current starter at RT, Spencer Brown, will be a free agent in 2025 and wasn't impressive last year. Georgia OT Amarimus Mims played right tackle his entire collegiate career and didn't allow a single sack or QB hit in his final three seasons—a future starter on the Buffalo O-Line.

R1P29 (TRADE BACK: PHI Eagles): Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB Alabama

GETTY IMAGES

After trading back from 22 to 29, Philly addresses the secondary by selecting Kool-Aid McKinstry. The 21-year-old allowed a 73.1 passer rating when targeted in 2023 and will be a nice addition to one of the worst secondaries in football last year.

R1P30 (BAL Ravens): Kingsley Suamatia, OT BYU

GETTY IMAGES

Baltimore traded starting right tackle Morgan Moses to the Jets, and now, they draft his replacement, BYU OT Kingsley Suamatia. The 21-year-old allowed two sacks and five QB hits in 2023 and will step in as the starter at RT for the Super Bowl hopeful Ravens.

R1P31 (SF 49ers): Jordan Morgan, OL Arizona

Rick Scuteri

San Francisco is a team with few needs, so they decide to add some o-line depth and a potential starter. Morgan played left tackle his entire collegiate career but could also play guard. With Trent Williams aging and SF's interior offensive line needing some help, Morgan is the safe and logical pick.

R1P32 (KC Chiefs): Xavier Worthy, WR Texas

USA TODAY

The defending champs added Hollywood Brown to a receiving corp that struggled in 2023. Adding another speedy playmaker to pair with Brown and Rashee Rice wouldn't hurt. Worthy has expressed his interest to play with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, so this seems like a match made in heaven.
