Biggest Standouts from Week one of Titans Training Camp!

The Tennessee Titans wrapped up their first week of training camp on Saturday, as the team will have the day off on Sunday and return to the practice field next week. Tennessee will square off against the San Francisco 49ers at Nissan Stadium to begin the preseason on August 10th. With week one of camp in the books, let's go over the biggest standouts from the week.

Denny Simmons / The Tennessean

Tight End Josh Whyle

Second-year tight end Josh Whyle had an injury-riddled rookie season but put together a strong spring and has impressed in training camp so far. The 24-year-old has been a popular target for quarterback Will Levis and had an excellent practice on Saturday, working the middle of the field and being an active part of the offense, according to multiple reporters. Though he will likely serve as the TE2 this season, Whyle's impressive week-one should open some eyes.

Wide Receiver Treylon Burks

Burks has had a rough NFL career through two seasons, but the third-year wide receiver is off to a fantastic start in camp. According to Jim Wyatt of Titans.com, Burks has been working as a gunner during special teams period and has caught everything thrown his way at receiver. The former Arkansas standout is also in terrific shape. A healthy and efficient season from Burks in 2024 would be a major plus for Brian Callahan and the Titans.

Quarterback Will Levis

All three of the Titans quarterbacks have looked good in camp, but Levis has been dialed in from the start. The 25-year-old has thrown just one interception in camp so far and has looked sharp and crisp through three practices. Head coach Brian Callahan commended his second-year quarterback's work ethic on Thursday, stating that he has "earned his confidence" and his hard work this offseason and over the summer has really paid off. The former Kentucky standout has all the tools to put together a breakout sophomore campaign in 2024.

Linebacker Kenneth Murray

The signing of Kenneth Murray was one of the most controversial transactions general manager Ran Carthon made in the offseason, but the former Charger has been catching eyes during training camp. According to Jim Wyatt of Titans.com, Murray has been impactful in all areas of the game, especially rushing the passer, and has been very noticeable in camp. The 25-year-old has also made some plays in coverage, an area he has struggled in during his career. Dennard Wilson's aggressive defensive style seems to be a perfect fit for Murray.
