Titans Bye Week Special: Big DECISIONS Tennessee Must Make

Bye Week is the most tedious time for fans, but it is one of the most pivotal weeks for an NFL Team all year. The Titans enter the bye week on a two-game losing streak, and the season is starting to unravel for the two-tone blue. Here are four crucial decisions the Titans need to make during the bye week that will dictate the aura for the rest of the season…

The QB Diabolical

Ryan Tannehill suffered a high ankle sprain in the Titans loss to the Ravens and could miss several weeks. Even if Tannehill weren’t hurt, there would still be a discussion at the QB position due to his inadequate play. Many Titans fans are calling for Will Levis to finally take the field, especially after Malik Willis’ lackluster performance in relief of Tannehill in London. Mike Vrabel stated that if Ryan Tannehill is healthy, he will be the starter. I am not a fan of this, as we have to figure out at some point if Will Levis is the future, and there is no point in throwing Tannehill back out there. Though the Titans still want to win this season, Will Levis needs to be the starter and get a shot after the bye against Atlanta…

Kristian Fulton Situation

We all know Kristian Fulton won’t be a Titan after the season, but is it time for him to relinquish his starting spot? Last week, Fulton was replaced by Tre Avery in the second quarter but did return to the game soon after. Though his apparent benching was short-lived, Shane Bowen doesn’t trust the former second-round pick. The bye week is the perfect opportunity for Tennessee to try out other DBs, like Avery and Kendall, in Fulton’s spot. At this point, anything is better than Kristian Fulton!!

NPF Over Dillard at LT?

Much like Fulton, Dillard is a struggling player who got benched against the Ravens in London. Nicholas Petit-Frere recently returned from suspension, replaced the underperforming Dillard at Left Tackle for Tennessee last week, and showed some signs of competence in that role. Though NPF’s natural position isn’t LT, he should be the starting Left Tackle moving forward for Tennessee. Andre Dillard may be the worst starting tackle in the entire league, as he is top three in sacks and pressures given up. NPF is the best the Titans have at LT, and they must roll with it for the rest of the season…

Spooky Halloween Deadline

The Titans are 2-4, and this season is likely not going for Mike Vrabel and Co anymore. Could Ran Carthon trade some of the expensive veterans on this roster and start preparing for the future? Teams in the playoff picture would value and inquire about guys like Derrick Henry, Kevin Byard, Denico Autry, and Deandre Hopkins. Tennessee has never been a team that has been super busy at the trade deadline, but Ran Carthon could change that if the Titans’ season continues to fall flat…
