The Worst Draft Class in NFL History: The 2020 Titans

The 2020 NFL Draft was one to remember, with many stars being drafted in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. Many teams found franchise players in the once-in-a-lifetime draft, the Tennessee Titans were not one of those teams. The 2020 Titans’ draft class has a really good argument to be the worst draft class in the history of the NFL, and here’s why…

1st Round: Isaiah Wilson, T, Georgia

We all know how bad this pick is, and we don’t have to spend much time on it. Wilson was a complete bust for the Titans, as he struggled to even get on the field. Off-the-field issues, a lack of commitment, and a lack of desire doomed Wilson. He is no longer in the NFL, and is now a rapper…

GRADE: F———

2nd Round: Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU

Fulton is by far the best player to come out of this draft, and it isn’t close. The former Tiger has been a solid corner for Ten since entering the league and has shown flashes of greatness. Injuries have held back Fulton so far in his career, as he has dealt with many hamstring issues. If Fulton can stay healthy this season, he should be able to get that extension and remain with the Titans for a couple more years…

3rd Round: Darrynton Evans, RB, App State

The Titans expected Evans to be a nice receiving-back complement to Derrick Henry. Injuries held back the former mountaineer, as he was placed on IR twice in his last year in Nashville. He showed flashes when he played, but it wasn’t enough for the Titans to keep him past 2022..

GRADE: F

5th Round: Larrell Murchison, DT, NC State

Not much to talk about here when it comes to Murchison. Super inconsistent, made plays here and there, and spent time on IR and the practice squad. Waived by the Titans last December and is currently on the Rams.

GRADE: D

6th Round: Cole McDonald, QB, Hawaii

A complete disaster of a pick. McDonald didn’t play a snap in a preseason game with the Titans and was cut after a couple of practices. Not much to talk about as he was waived a couple of weeks into training camp, but still a terrible pick…

GRADE: F-

7th Round: Chris Jackson, DB, Marshall

Jackson was able to carve out a three-year tenure with the Titans before being cut yesterday. The former Marshall standout was in and out of the practice squad and played in 24 regular season games for the Titans. For a seventh-round pick, it isn’t terrible, but not great…

GRADE: C-

As you can see, the Titans’ 2020 draft class was just awful, as just one is still currently on the roster. This draft ruined the Super Bowl window for Ten, and one of the main reasons why Jon Robinson was fired as GM…
