Five Round Titans Mock Draft 2.0
It's been a hectic week for the Tennessee Titans, and the offseason has just begun. Tennessee fired HC Mike Vrabel on Tuesday, as the franchise is looking to evolve its football team to meet the recent NFL trends. A new era of Titans football is on the way in 2024, so let's do a five-round mock draft to welcome it!
R1P7: Olu Fashanu, OT Penn State
The Titans' offensive line was recently graded as the worst unit in the NFL by PFF, as the group surrendered a whopping 49 sacks this season. Tennessee's left tackle situation was a trainwreck all season, as there is an argument to be made that the left tackle play in Nashville was the worst in NFL history. Andre Dillard and Jaelyn Duncan split time as the Titans' starting LT, and both were putrid regardless of the day or opponent. This is an issue that Ran Carthon can't ignore, so he will seamlessly correct it by selecting Penn State OT Olu Fashanu with the seventh overall pick. Fashanu hasn't given up a sack in two years and is PFF's number-one offensive tackle in the 2024 class. Drafting Olu will secure and protect Will Levis' blindspot from day one and give Tennessee All-Pro level play at the most critical offensive line position...
R2P38: Ja'Lynn Polk, WR Washington
Outside of Deandre Hopkins, the Titans lack production and talent at WR. The hope is that Treylon Burks can revitalize his career in his third season, but it would be unwise for Carthon to go into the 2024 season with Burks as the WR2. Washington WR Ja'Lynn Polk had a terrific 2023 season, hauling in 69 catches for 1,159 yards and nine TDS. Polk's 6'2, 204-pound size would be lethal on the outside of Tennessee's offense, and QB Will Levis would love a nice jump ball threat. Not only is Polk a ball-winner on the outside, but he would be a fantastic compliment to Nuk Hopkins. This is a deep WR class, so the odds of Polk being on the board when the Titans are picking at 38 are high...
R4P106: Cam Hart, CB Notre Dame
The Titans' CB situation is a hot mess, as Roger McCreary is Tennessee's only valuable piece on the unit. Kristian Fulton was incompetent this season before landing on IR in the middle of December, and Murphy-Bunting wasn't that much better. This is an issue that Ran Carthon must address through free agency, but drafting a corner would also be worthwhile. Notre Dame CB Cam Hart started three years for the Fighting Irish and was a lockdown corner for the nation's number three pass defense. Hart dominated in 2023, allowing just 15 catches for 137 yards and ZERO TDS. His 6'2 size matches up well with the taller WRs in the NFL, and the 23-year-old would compete for a starting spot on day one...
R5P144: Layden Robinson, OG Texas A&M
Daniel Brunskill was the best player on the abysmal offensive line in 2023, but it wouldn't hurt to add some quality depth at Guard. Layden Robinson started three seasons at RG for the Aggies and played exceptionally well in two of his three seasons. As a redshirt sophomore, Robinson started all ten games and allowed just nine pressures all season without surrendering a sack. After a rough 2022 season, Layden returned to College Station his senior season and had a remarkable bounce back. Robinson played in 11 games, giving up 16 pressures and one sack in 2023. The former three-star recruit is NFL-ready and would be the Titans' 2nd string RG immediately...
